The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) Department at Viswam Engineering
College, Madanapalle, established in the academic year 2024–25, offers a two-year full-time
postgraduate program designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and skills in
computer applications, artificial intelligence, data science, and emerging technologies. the
department focuses on academic excellence, research, and industry-oriented learning,
supported by highly qualified faculty, state-of-the-art laboratories, a digital library, and Wi-
Fi-enabled infrastructure. Accredited with an A grade by NAAC, approved by AICTE, and
affiliated to JNTUA, Anantapur, the institution ensures quality education combined with
practical exposure through workshops, webinars and industry collaborations. The department
also emphasizes student development through technical clubs, research initiatives and
placement training, preparing graduates to meet the dynamic demands of the IT industry and

Dr. M. Jayakameswaraiah is a Professor and Head of the Department of MCA at Viswam Engineering College (UGC-Autonomous). He holds MCA, M.Tech., and Ph.D. qualifications and has 14 years of teaching experience and 10+ years of research experience.
He has published multiple research papers in reputed journals and has participated in numerous national and international conferences. Currently leading the Department of MCA, he is actively involved in academic development and guiding departmental initiatives in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Industry-Oriented Learning.
His areas of teaching and research interest include Data Structures and Algorithms, Data Mining, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science.
